Description
Was going to be a bigger project, decided the pose was too shitty for a full image so cropped it. Can't wait for Mirrors Edge 2, although they changed her face... Not sure how I feel about that.

I loved this game and this character, and I've been thinking about drawing her one of these days as well.. I wasn't aware they changed her face for Edge 2, but you can't really get a good look at it in the trailer. When I first saw that trailer I got all excited because I thought her eye tattoo was being done on the opposite side from the first game (like it was mirrored), and it got me speculating about some sort of alternate universe plot-line involving scenes/events from the first game (I guess the second one is a remake?). Anyway, then I saw that it wasn't actually mirrored... so much for that. On to your art though:
Pretty good work on the tattoo and shading overall. I think the pitfalls of this piece primarily lie in the anatomy, but you did mention you had a sense of what was off about some of your art already, so I'll try not to get too nit-picky. The pose, mainly the angle that the arm is being held at, feels stiff and unnatural. The face is also lacking for some depth (and blends into the chin a bit), and the breasts seem a little close together and crooked. Lastly, the sudden dark edge on the highlighted shoulder/neck is bothering me... I think it just makes it look like it was "cut out" of some other image.
I hope that helps some. I know I can be pretty literal with my critiques. I guess I figure everyone has their own way of learning how to fix something, but they don't always know what needs to be fixed... so I just kind of point out what I see.
